Season’s Greetings

As 2025 comes to a close, the PEACE project team extends its warmest wishes for a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

This year marked significant progress in advancing high-pressure alkaline electrolysis (AEL) technology. In particular, we reached two important research milestones:

1.      Qualification of pressurized cell , jointly performed by Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and German Aerospace Center (DLR).

2.      Design and production of stack componentsfor high-pressure AEL operation by Materials Mates Italia (MMI).

In addition, the PEACE three-cell short stack has been assembled, mounted for testing at  Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus - Senftenberg (BTU) - paving the way toward the full PEACE high-pressure AEL demonstrator, coming soon.

Looking ahead to 2026, we remain committed to advancing our work, reducing the cost of hydrogen production, and accelerating Europe’s energy transition.

Here’s to a 2026 filled with even greater achievements, exciting breakthroughs, and meaningful collaborations – within and beyond the hydrogen community.
